From the movie JUNO

OK..so sometime last year us girls in our family were hanging out and my sister Heidi wanted us to see the movie Juno. She said it was a great movie. We all attempted to watch however it was loud at my grandmas house were we where at and the music to me was soooo lame. I just couldn't get into the flick. So, I didn't watch it. However today I took the time to watch it in peace and quite and I actually really enjoyed the movie. So first off I have to say sorry to my sister Heidi for saying it seemed like a boring movie. However, in watching the movie I am 100% against teenage pregnancy but the movie in general was good, and the music once really watching was quite catchy. So, I have decided to put the video and lyrics to my favorite song of the movie on here. Its called Anyone Else But You!

Anyone Else But You

by The Moldy Peaches

You’re a part time lover and a full time friend

The monkey on you’re back is the latest trend

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train

I kiss you all starry eyed, my body’s swinging from side to side

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

Here is the church and here is the steeple

We sure are cute for two ugly people

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me

So why can’t, you forgive me?

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

I will find my nitch in your car

With my MP3, DVD, rumple-packed guitar

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

Up-up, down-down, left-right, left-right, B-A, start

Just because we use cheats doesn’t mean we’re not smart

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

You are always trying to keep it real

I’m in love with how you feel

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

We both have shiny happy fits of rage

You want more fans, I want more stage

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

Don Quixote was a steel driving man

My name is Adam I’m your biggest fan

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

Squinched up your face and did a dance

You shook a little turd out of the bottom of your pants

I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you

"FRIENDSHIP" Quote of the week

A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget."

I value my friendship that I share in my life. Friends to me are just as an important part of my life as my family is. I am very selective on who I choose as my friends in life as an adult. Although I have a lot of acquaintance's in life, there are very few who I share my trials, joys, secrets, and struggles in life. Thank you to all of my friends though who have taken the time to just say hi every now and then.I do want my friends to know though that I do think of them often, but know that as we get older it gets tougher and tougher to keep in touch regularly with all of them. I am aware that we are all busy in our own personal lives, but do want my friends to know that I am thankful and blessed to share a friendship with all of you in our own ways!

Revlon Cancer Walk Saturday May 9, 2009

My friend Karen ran the Revlon Cancer Walk last year. As most of you know my sister lives with Brain Cancer that is non-operable. Karen will be running the Revlon Run for Womans Cancer again this year. Please take a moment if you can and donate to help raise money for this research. Also to help support Karen as she demonstrates her strength, courage, and passion for something that is important in her life and my families life as well. I have attached a picture of Karen from her run that she did in 2008. Although last year was her first year doing it, and she signed up literally last minute so she was unable to raise a lot of funds. I am hoping with the help of family and friends and spredding the link, that we may be able to help Karen achieve her goal for this run since there is time and it wont be taking place until Saturday May 9, 2009. You can see Karen is the one on the right, on her banner it has my sisters name Heidi Christopherson.
So please click on the link and read about her story and how you can help millions of woman and possibly even my sister in this research.

Thanks Everyone!!

"AGE" Quote of the week!!!

"It is not the years in your life, but the life in your years that counts."
....I believe that age is just a number. I do agree with the quote I seleceted this week. If we make the best of our days in life that is what matters. As we do not know what God has in store for us, and when it will be our time to go. SO, I remind myself regularly, to make the best of each day. Live and laugh as if it were your last day, because you could be a newborn, child, teenager, young adult, middle age, or elderly when it is your time. Age doesnt matter by #, I believe its how young you chose to allow your mind, body, and spirit to be. So...in my eyes...we are all YOUNG at heart!!!!

American Idol

American Idol Pictures, Images and Photos

So...I am soooo excited for a new season of American Idol to have started. I love this time of year, when all of my favorite reality shows come back to life. Again, as most of my friends and family know I am a major reality tv junkie. Currently I am all about The Bachelor, American Idol, and now The City on MTV. I usually like watching The Hills but with that over I got a new MTV show now. But American Idol, is something I truelly enjoy. From beginning to end. Discussions amongst friends are unsure on if we like the new judge Kara but I think she will be a good change to the show. So for those who havent seen American Idol, the auditions are quite comical so you should tune in on Tues and Wed from 8-10pm on Fox.

Great money savings tips!!!

cash Pictures, Images and Photos

So, I was reading an online article and thought it had some great ideas to save money...so I thought I would share the article.

There's no such thing as a hot stock tip right now, but these small investments could add thousands to your bottom line.
Everybody wants a hot tip. At this time of year the media's filled with forecasts and recommendations. Hope springs eternal.

History says few people ever beat the market consistently. And even those who do don't beat the market by much.
So what's the best you can expect? Wall Street's best year, as measured by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, was 1915. The index rocketed 82%. The second best year was 1933. It jumped 66%.
Any tip that comes close to that would have to be remarkable. Here are seven that will do better. Yes, they will produce a greater return on investment than Wall Street's greatest boom year.

And, unlike your typical investment tip, these returns are pretty much guaranteed. What's more, you won't have to call your broker to make any of these moves:

Buy a bread maker. You can buy one for $55. If it saves you just $4 a week on store-bought bread, that's $208 a year. A 280% return.

Get a credit card with a great sign-up bonus. Like the AirTran Visa card. Cost: The $40 annual fee. After your first purchase you get enough reward miles for a free flight, saving maybe $250. Then cancel the card. Return: 525%.

Take out a local library card. Cost: Nothing. If it saves you $10 a month on books, that's $120 a year. Return: Infinite. Note: Some libraries now let you borrow electronic books over the Internet as well.

Replace your premium cable package with a Netflix subscription and a $100 set-top box. You can download movies and TV programs as well getting DVDs through the mail. Cost: $100 for the cheapest set-top box, plus $17 a month for a three-movie subscription. If it replaces a $50-a-month cable package, that's a 98% return on investment.
Order a packet of seeds and plant them in a window box or garden. Growing your own herbs, spices, and even vegetables – depending on the amount of space you have – is a great investment. If you spent just $10 on seeds and saved a mere $50 in the year, that's a 400% ROI.

Switch to a prepaid cellphone. Cost: $20 for the phone, and maybe $100 a year for minutes. Move the rest of your talk-time to free Internet calls, and stop hemorrhaging $60 a month on a cellular plan. ROI: 500%

Start making your own coffee to take to work each morning. Cost: $20 for a Thermos, $10 for a filter and papers, and $60 a year for ground coffee. Then skip the $4 a day drive-thru. If that saves you $1,000 a year, the return is more than 1,000
%.

"LOVE" Quote of the week

"LIFE'S BLESSED CALLING IS TO SOW SEEDS OF LOVE THAT MAY BLESS THE WORLD WITH FRAGRANT BEAUTY THAT ENDURES BEYOND THE MORTAL FRAME."
I chose the word "LOVE " for the week because I feel that without Love nothing in life can bring happiness. Love is something I feel in my heart everyday. There are many things in life that I can say I Love. Of course the most important kind of Love i have for is my family and friends. You hear people use the word love all the time. Kids say it when they eat things such as I love Ice-Cream, or OMG..I love those shoes, and I love being on my computer. Love can be phrased in so many different ways, but Love in my life has a meaning. It is important for us to tell those whom we truelly LOVE how much they mean to us. So with this word LOVE....I want all of my friends and family to know how much I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Some say quotes are inspiring......

So I decided that I was going to take one quote a week and add it to my Blog. Maybe the blog would pertain to something significant in my life or maybe its one that might inspire someone else. So with that said today will be the first day that I start my QUOTE of the week!!!!

peace love happiness Pictures, Images and Photos

Michaels cousin Jimmy sent this to me. I thought this was such an amazing little quote story that I wanted to share it on here. It is something worth reading multiple times. I hope that everyone enjoys reading this as much as I did. Enjoy!!!

This is beautiful, worth reading several times to get the full meaning...

Maybe . . . we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe . . . when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has been opened for us.

Maybe . . . it is true that we don'tknow what we have until we lose it,but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Maybe . . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past;after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches.

Maybe . . . you should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you dream of, and want to do.

Maybe . . . there are moments in life when you miss someone -- a parent, a spouse, a friend, a child -- so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they are around you appreciate them more.

Maybe . . . the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

Maybe . . . you should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the other person, too.

Maybe . . .you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply to leave them alone.

Maybe . . . giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but, if it doesn't, be content that it grew in yours.

Maybe . . . happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who have searched, and all those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.

Maybe . . . you shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Maybe . . . you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy.

Maybe . . . you should try to live your life to the fullest because when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling but when you die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone around you crying.

Maybe . . . you could send this message to those people who mean something to you, to those who have touched your life, to those who can and do make you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, and to all those whom you want to know that you appreciate them and their friendship

THE MORTIMER FAMILY AND KIDS

THE FAMILY OF DENNIS & LILIA MORTIMER

I decided one of the things I should do if I am going to share my stories with everyone is to share with everyone who my family is.I was raised by two wonderful parents Dennis and Lilia Mortimer.

In 1998 my Dad passed away unexpectedly. This past October 2008 actually was his 10 year anniversary.I was blessed to have a great Dad in life. Although I was extremely sad when my dad passed, thinking of all the things in life I would not be able to share with him, I carry the great memories in my heart always. This was the last pic I took with my dad before he passed away. I had taken a trip to California as I was living in Las Vegas at the time.

My mom is a woman of much class. She is a perfectionist as most of my family would say. She is a great person though and although she has her own unique personality we all know our mom truelly loves her family. My mother is a very talented woman and loves to do crafts and stitchery. This was a picture from Thanksgiving in 2007, if you cant tell by the picture my mother is just perfecting her holiday centerpiece she made before Thanksgiving dinner was served.

I am the youngest of 4 siblings. Heidi(39), Dennis (39), and Robert (36). I have 7 nieces and nephews whom I love to pieces.I am happy to share in this blog pics of those whome I love very much.

She truelly is my best friend in life and am so thankful to be able to have her in my life. Heidi has 3 kids from her first marriage, and has recently in the past years married a wonderful man Bruce. He loves my sister and my nieces and nephew enough to literally marry into a family that was already established.Bruce took on 2 teenagers and a pre teen for being married the first time. I definetly give him credit for that. He truelly loves his new family.

A fresh New Year

Photobucket

Happy New Year!! This Beautiful sunny day in California is a great day. The weather outside is about 70 degrees and no wind in the Antelope Valley. I had a great New Years Eve. First new years in my married life. Michael and I had a pretty laid back New Years Eve. We were invitied to our friends Ray and Ericas house. We decided to just hang out and watch movies. We watched the movies Stepbrothers. If you have not seen that flick I recommend renting it. It was hilarious. Just before midnight we tuned into our local channels and rang in the new year with Dick clarks new year. It was sad to see the state that Dick Clark is in after having his stroke over a year ago. I remember as a kid hanging out at home and my parents would make popcorn, and we would all hang out playing games, and when Midnight came we watched the tv and cheered to Sparkling Cider. Remembering those days makes me miss my dad. My mom rang in the new year up in Salt Lake City. I truelly believe this year will be a blessed year. I am hoping this year will bring everyone in good spirits, great health and happiness. CHEERS from My family to yours!!!!!
